About Me

I am crazy in love with God. I live in the middle of paradise, doing what I love the most. I am undeniably random and spontaneous. I love a good laugh, the kind that makes your stomach muscles hurt.

The Accidental Flasher

Sometimes in life we take ourselves too seriously, then something happens and you can't help but keel over and laugh your tail off. Lately I have been preoccupied with all of the decisions I am mulling over and asking "LORD what is your will for me for this year and what do I need to do?" I have just about given myself an ulcer trying to plan and "Do the right thing."

So I put on my new white Mexican dress for praise and worship/chapel. And as always I was running a few minutes behind, surprise surprise. Consequently, I did not do the once over in the mirror before running out. Fastforward to the next day, there I am in my office stressing over what the "PLAN" was when a close friend of mine pulls me off to the side.

"I do not know if you are going to be incredibly mad or incredibly embarrassed..." [what a way to start off a conversation, no?]

"but last night as you were worshipping and dancing up front, you need to know that everybody could tell what color your underwear were. I would have told you last night but it would have been really obvious and did want to embarrass you in front of everyone. But I am telling you so you know for next time."

As the shock wave of horrific, terrible, red-faced-embarrassment washed over me, all I could do was bust up into fits of giggling as I thought about the fact that about 170 people watched in disbelief as I bounced around obliviously to the fact that I was practically mooning everyone. As I came back to my desk snickering to myself about my accidental underwear flashing escapade, it really put everything into perspective. Life is more than just the final destination, it is more about the journey and process that it takes to get there, even if we accidentally flash the people we pass by.
